On Tuesday, a local franchisee is opening Charlotte's fourth Einstein Bros. Bagel, this one in Ballantyne, and the first 100 customers will get free bagels.
The store is located near Ballantyne Commons Parkway and Johnston Road. It will open for business at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Phil Rice is the new store's owner. The 25-year-old has plans to expand with up to a dozen more Einstein locations in the Charlotte market. You can read about his Myers Park store, and a bit more about Rice, in a previous blog post here.

Why is it that all you ever hear from these owners is talk about expansion? What they need to focus on is making a better product......I am from NY and the ONLY bagel worth eating is from Poppy's on Providence Road.
I'm so tired of people saying "I'm from NY...". This isn't New York, it's Charlotte. If you want NY pizza or bagel, move back to NY.
Einstein has good food and I'm glad they've opened up another location outside of uptown/southend.
NYC is not the only place to get good bagels. This place has great bagels and great customer service. They are fast.
I find them very pricey. Bruegger's is a much better deal especially on Wednesdays when 13 bagels will set you back only 5.99.
DO yourself a favor and go to Poppy's ~ maybe then you will understand......Charlotte is getting inundated with chain restaurants that serve mediocre food....eventually all the cities in America will look the same!
Great bagels. Finally a decent bagel option in Ballantyne.
Im from NY and even I'm tired of people claiming to be experts because "they are from NY" geeeeeeesh! Hey guess what? I'm from the Earth and I llke bagels. Big deal!
