Charlotte's newest Fresh Market will open March 4 in the Promenade on Providence shopping center.

The store will also give away a reusable shopping bag and a sample-sized bag of gourmet coffee to the first 1,000 customers.
The 27,000 square-foot store, located at 10828 Providence Road, includes, among other features, a bakery, an organic produce department and a meat counter that offers ready-to-serve meals.
In its store opening announcement Thursday, Fresh Market said the new store will bring about 90 new jobs to the area.
The store will be Fresh Market's third Charlotte location and the company's 20th in North Carolina.

WOW! You guys forget to mention this location will be across the highway from their main competitor whole foods, as you guys always point out when publix opens.
Hi Thomas, thanks for your note. To my knowledge, there is no Whole Foods nearby there. We include the proximity of Publix to Harris Teeter stores to highlight Charlotte's retail growth and to show how tough grocery store competition is in this area.
