Coldwater Creek closed in SouthPark

Women's apparel retailer Coldwater Creek has closed in SouthPark mall, a largely unheralded event.

The retailer still has locations in Northlake Mall and Blakeney, which are offering $25 off on purchases over $100 through May 25.

Coldwater Creek, struggling with slumping sales, has been closing dozens of stores. "Thank you for your patronage, it’s truly been a pleasure…" read a brief note on the retailer's SouthPark store page.

  1. Shoot. Now I have to NL or Blakeney for mom's Xmas presents! I heard a rumor that there will be a major retailer who is not currently in the Charlotte market that will open a spot SouthPark. Wonder if this space is part of it?

  2. CWC's cloting has become increasingly bland and dumpy. I used ot like their clothing but stopped buying from them about 3 years ago

  6. Hmmm...so, Coldwater Creek is now empty, beside the also empty Brooks Brothers space. Put those two together, and you'd have enough space for, say, an H&M.

  8. It would be nice to see Atlanta's Sid Mashburn open a store in SouthPark.

  12. Its a better decision to close the south location as the people in the North Charlotte have more good taste and buying power of quality stuff
