Second Roosters men's salon to open in Charlotte

A second Roosters Men's Grooming Center is set to open Monday, Jan. 30, on Providence Road in the Rea Village Shopping Center.

The franchise store is owned by Charlotte residents Ed and Stacey Sedlacek. There are some 40 Roosters nationwide, and the other Charlotte location is in Ballantyne.

"When we were looking for a franchise opportunity, Roosters’ model of providing upscale hair care services for men really appealed to us,” said Ed Sedlacek, in a statement.  “It’s a population that has been underserved in the hair industry.”

Roosters features upscale barbershop and salon options for men, such as a 7-step shave with hot steam towels, deep cleansing facial massage and hand and foot detailing.

Real men go to a BARBER shop, not a "salon."

Is this not the same business that was in town a few years ago and left creditors especially those in print and broadcast media holding the bag for lots and lots of ubpaid bills?

Wow.....hand and foot detailing?? It doesn't get any "manlier" than that!

Just go to a barber shop and get a haircut. It'll probably be no more than $10.00 too.

I thought Roosters was a restaurant?

Hey, can the salon do gerbil removal as well?

my husband went to the one in Ballantyne and I was horrified when he came home with bleeding cuticles and chopped up nails. He said the woman reeked of tobacco smoke. The cleanliness of their implements were also in question. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!

Or I could simply go to my regular barber and get my normal hair cut for a cheaper price...Come on, do me really need a salon?

I am the owner of the new Roosters and want to clear up a few comments. We are a barbershop only, nothing to do with hands, feet or nails. We will run our shop with customer service as our priority and would appreciate the chance to earn your loyalty. Great haircuts and shaves, cold bottled beer or alternate beverage, enjoyed in leather chairs with big screen TV. Please give us an opportunity.

Just a question.... In this "Barber Shop", how many of these employees are actual BARBERS? Has everyone working there been to BARBER school? Didn't think so...

This Is My 2nd Time At This Show And My Second Time, And A Hair Salon. Beauty Is In North Star Mall And Many Hairdressers Wear Headdresses And Black Tattoos And Burn And Very Trendy Colors, Which Can Make Some More Conservative People Think This Is Not The Place For Them . When You Go To One Of The Lounges Set In San Hat And Get The Same Hairdresser Probably Thought That Suit My Age, I Went To A Guy One Afternoon A Weekend Because I Was Desperate For A Cut Hair And It Seemed They Take Walk-Ins. The Service Is Excellent And Each Of Hairdressers Who Do Not Work And I Had To Be Very Careful And Very Good To Listen And Ask Questions To Understand What I Wanted. Their Work Is Detailed And Thorough And Want To Know If You Are Happy With The Results. This May Be The Third Best Haircut Of My Life.
